Join the Campaign 


The goal is to purchase the pub and operate it professionally by the community, for the community while ensuring the operation is profitable and sustainable.  

To make this happen, the Campaign Group has canvassed the local council who have designated the pub as an Asset of Community Value. The campaign group is in the process of establishing a Community Benefit Society to purchase, refurbish and operate the pub. 

Below, we set out the ways you can best participate in this important cause.

How we will keep you informed 

Every month we publish a newsletter to tell the members of the group how the Campaign is progressing. 

There are many examples of similar communities purchasing and successfully operating their local pub.

There is no reason why Hampton cannot do the same and follow on from local success stories at the Hampton Pool and the Park Lane stables.

What we need and how you can help

Hampton is a relatively affluent area with its population having lots of expertise in business, communication and operating pubs.  

The primary objective at the moment is funding.  We need to raise money to purchase the property, refurbish it and refit it ready to be operated as a pub.  

As the Campaign progresses we will also need expertise.  Operational experts and lawyers to help us purchase the pub and ensure that it complies with all the regulations.  

Once purchased and refurbished, The Plan is to recruit an experienced manager to be responsible for running the pub.

We also seek to support the manager with an operating board with expertise in running pubs and others with experience in corporate governance to ensure financial stability and compliance with the relevant legislation and regulations.
